The science fiction novel

The science fiction novel, “Unwind” by Neal Shusterman is the first book in the Unwind dystology. Throughout the book, the author tells a story of a different world where the second Civil War was fought over reproductive rights with the resolution being that life is never to be broken until the age of thirteen. From ages thirteen to eighteen however, parents are allowed to get their child “unwind”, where all of the child’s organs are transplanted into different recipients, therefore life doesn’t technically end. Throughout the story, three teens, Connor, Risa and Lev, become runaways and fight for their life at risk.
