In this world, there are many people constantly searching for danger and thrill. They participate in activities considered life or death situations because they enjoy the risk of it all. They crave the adrenaline rush. Quite often, these daredevils are injured or astray on one of their expeditions. Although they are putting themselves at risk, there are many other factors that can lead to their requirement for rescue. Most of the time, these occurrences are purely accidental. The people involved have no way of knowing or preparing themselves. Therefore, it is not fair to charge them for the rescue efforts involved in saving them. Aid efforts, such as the Coast Guard and search and rescue teams, are responsible for saving all lives, not just those that were not searching for danger. Adrenaline junkies may purposely put themselves in risky situations, but that doesn’t mean they should be treated any differently when their life is on the line.
